Privacy Policy – Dice Masters

Last updated: May 3, 2026

This privacy policy describes how data is processed in the Dice Masters application. The app is used to track scores in dice games, create game boards, invite friends, and view game history and rankings.

Camera and QR code notice: Dice Masters does not scan QR codes inside the app and does not use the camera for any app feature. The app may generate or display links and QR codes that lead to a public score preview, game board, or shared game view. Scanning such a QR code happens outside Dice Masters, for example through the phone's system Camera app or another external QR code scanning app. After scanning the QR code, the user is redirected to the appropriate web link with the score preview or shared board.

1. Data Controller

The data controller is the creator of the Dice Masters application. For privacy-related matters, please contact: witos85@gmail.com.

2. What data the app may process

The app may process the following data:

3. Playing without an email address

Dice Masters allows playing without providing an email address. In this mode, users can enter player nicknames and use the basic features of the app. Game data may be stored locally or within the app's operation, depending on the feature used.

4. Purpose of data processing

Data is processed in order to:

5. App permissions, including camera

Dice Masters does not require users to consciously grant access to the camera, microphone, contacts, location, or photos in order to use the app's features. Dice Masters does not use the camera to take photos, record video, scan QR codes inside the app, identify users, or analyze images.

If a user scans a QR code related to Dice Masters, this is done outside Dice Masters — for example with the phone's system Camera app. Such a QR code contains a regular web link and, after scanning, opens the appropriate public score preview, game board, or shared game view. In this case, camera access is handled by the phone system or an external scanning app, not by Dice Masters.

If the android.permission.CAMERA permission is visible in Google Play Console or on Android, it means it was detected in the final app package or in one of the libraries used to build it. This permission is not used by any Dice Masters feature, and the app does not collect, save, or transmit any photos, video recordings, or camera data from the device.

6. Ads and payments

Dice Masters does not display advertisements. As of the last update of this policy, the app does not support in-app purchases or external payments.

7. Data sharing

User data is not sold to third parties. Data may be processed by technical service providers used to maintain the app, hosting, database, or infrastructure, solely to the extent necessary for the app to function.

8. Data retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary for the app to function, to handle boards, game history, and rankings, or until the data is deleted or a deletion request is made by the user, if such deletion is technically feasible and compliant with applicable laws.

9. User rights

Users may request:

10. Children's data

The app is not specifically targeted at children and is not intended to knowingly collect children's data. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has submitted personal data in the app, they may contact the controller to have it deleted.

11. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are applied to protect data against loss, unauthorized access, or misuse. However, please note that no method of data transmission over the Internet or data storage provides a one-hundred-percent security guarantee.
